Grandmother Earth National Contest
The Grandmother Earth National Contest has a little something for every writer. The entry fee is $10 for up to three entries (poetry or fiction) with additional entries allowed at $2 each. There are several different categories you can enter work in, including a haiku and short form category, inspirational and humorous short fiction (up to 1800 words), and a category devoted to poems about peace. There are three prizes per category, and they vary in dollar amount, up to $100 for the highest prize. Everyone who enters will receive a copy of the contest book, and anyone who wins a prize will be published in the book (and also receive an extra copy). The postmark deadline is July 7th.
