National Poetry Month, NaHaiWriMo, DailyHaiku

February is National Poetry Month, and to celebrate it, Poetry magazine is giving out free copies of the April 2013 issue for you and your book club or group of friends.  Each person can request up to 10 copies.

February is also National Haiku Writing Month (NaHaiWriMo).  You can find out more information about NaHaiWriMo here, and you can get daily haiku writing prompts by checking out the NaHaiWriMo Facebook page.

Speaking of haiku, DailyHaiku has just reopened to submissions.  You can send in your poems through the end of February to be considered for the upcoming DailyHaiku contributor cycles.

Poetry, The Heron's Nest, Niteblade

Poetry reopens to submissions today.  You can submit by mail or email, up to 4 poems, and they typically respond in two months or less.  And oh yeah, they pay $10 per line.

The Heron's Nest is currently reading for its December issue.  Up to 15 haiku can be submitted at one time, by email to one of the editors.  The deadline for this reading period is September 15th.

Issue #21 of Niteblade goes live today.  It's completely free to read online, so if you have a couple minutes, pop on over and check out some of the new fiction and poetry.
